Asia Flexes its Base Oil Muscle

Global base oil refining capacity has climbed above 57 million metric tons a year, according to the new “2018 Global Guide to Base Oil Refining” from Lubes’n’Greases. Asia-Pacific controls 42 percent of this supply and has more on the way. read more

Packaging Demand Growth Forecast for Asia

A recent report by Global Market Insights predicts demand for lubricant packaging in Asia-Pacific will grow at a compound annual rate of 3.5 percent from 2017 to 2024, driven by the region’s increasing thirst for lubes, especially from India and China. However, packaging suppliers in the two countries have a more conservative outlook. read more

Puma Energy named Dunlop PNG as its distributor for Puma lubricants in Papua New Guinea.  Punjab Markfed, a marketing cooperative federation, signed a pact with India’s Hindustan Petroleum Corp. for supply of lubricants and greases to farmers through cooperative societies.
