DuBois Acquires Industrial Lubes Provider

Specialty chemicals manufacturer DuBois Chemicals acquired Blue Star Lubrication Technology, an industrial lubricants provider, the company announced late last month. The financial terms of the deal were not disclosed.

DuBois currently supplies specialty chemicals to the manufacturing and transportation industry is North America.

Schaumburg, Illinois-based Blue Star focuses on the metalworking, steel, cement and automotive industries. This acquisition marks the addition of high performance lubricants and field support to DuBois offerings.

The company sells high performance grease and lubricating oils alongside specialty lubricants and metalworking fluids, such as forming fluids, rust preventative solutions and straight oils to customers in the U.S. and Canada.

DuBois said in the press release that the acquisition is part of an ongoing growth strategy aimed at elevating its profile in the industrial specialty chemical market. Since 2009 the company has acquired eight companies.
