Provisional Licensing Invoked for PCMO Specs

The American Petroleum Institute invoked provisional licensing for passenger car engine oil categories ILSAC GF-5 and API SN, SM, SL and SJ, after the industry ran out of parts for a key test. Calumet Specialty Products Partners L.P. on Friday said it suspended its quarterly cash distribution, citing volatility in market conditions and saying it was part of a broader effort to maintain an adequate level of liquidity at the partnership. Lukoil Base Oil Production Slid in 2015

Russias largest base oil refiner, Lukoil, produced around 860,000 metric tons of base oils in 2015, down 10 percent from 973,000 tons the year before. The production comes from the companys base oil plants in Perm and Volgograd, Russia.
