Quaker Houghton to Acquire Norman Hay Divisions

Quaker Houghton announced Aug. 29 that it agreed to acquire the four operating divisions of United Kingdom-based Norman Hay plc for £80 million. This includes the Surface Technology division, which provides dry film lubricant coatings that provide friction control. read more

Swedish Surfactants Plant Expands

Nouryon announced Aug. 27 that it will double capacity at its surfactants plant in Stenungsund, Sweden, through a €12-million expansion and upgrade scheduled for completion by 2021’s first quarter. The expanded plant will produce corrosion inhibitors and surfactants for the lubricants market. read more

Emirates National Oil Co. will supply lubricants for up to 16 product tankers at Greece-based international trading operator IMS Oil’s Fujairah and Singapore ports under a memorandum of understanding announced Aug. 28. The partnership also expands Enoc’s marine lubricants supply network to more than 110 ports in 23 countries.
