Spains Lube Demand Rose in 2018

Spains lubricants demand increased 1.2 percent to 354,000 metric tons in 2018, marking its fifth consecutive year of growth, Spanish lubricants association Aselube said in an activity report based on data from its members. They account for more than 83 percent of the countrys total market.

SK, Taif Said to Talk Cooperation

Taif Group and a sister company of SK Lubricants met in Nizhnekamsk, Russia, last week to discuss the possibility of cooperating to have SKs Zic-branded lubricants manufactured in the Russian city, a news site reported last week.

ACEA Calls for High-capacity Transport

The European Automobile Manufacturers Association called last week for European Union policy makers to introduce a high-capacity transport system - allowing super-sized trucks to use dedicated parts of the EUs road network - to reduce carbon dioxide emissions.

Shell Lubricants and Al Jabr Trading Co., a Kia Motors dealer in Saudi Arabia, agreed to a partnership that will supply Shell Helix lubricants to Kia dealerships within the country. Lubricants supplier Eni France selected the French subsidiary of the Gefco group to manage its logistics for lubricants storage and delivery.
