Chinas South Korean Base Oil Imports Dip

Chinese imports of South Korean base stocks fell significantly in the middle of this year following several plant openings and expansions within China, an industry analyst said at a conference last month in Nanjing, China.

Shell India appointed Raman Ojha country head of Shell Lubricants India, effective this month. Ojha succeeds Mansi Tripathy, who became the companys vice president of lubricants for the Asia-Pacific region and the Middle East. A new partnership of the automotive aftermarket division of Robert Bosch GmbH and Castrol will run a jointly branded workshop pilot in Suzhou, China, starting this month. The test will include up to 25 joint workshops, each offering Castrol lubricants and Bosch parts and service offerings.
