Chinese Auto Segment Grows Modestly

Overall lubricant production in China has flattened in recent years, but output of automotive lubes continues to expand, and imports are still swelling, as are sales by first- and second-tier suppliers, an official from one independent marketer told a recent industry conference.

KH Neochem Plant to Open in 2020

KH Neochems new refrigeration lubricant additive plant, expected to open early next year in Mie prefecture, western Japan, will increase the companys production capacity by 50 percent to meet Asias growing demand, the company said.

Mixed Results for Indian Companies

Balmer Lawrie & Co. reported an increase in consolidated operating profit, Tide Water Oil Co.s consolidated net profit declined, and Continental Petroleum Ltd. posted a drop in net profit, each for the full fiscal year ending March 31.
