Two-wheeler owners, maintenance service providers and lubricant retailers across seven Asian countries described themselves as very aware of lube brand and indicated they look mainly to oil distributor representatives and local mechanics for information about brand, according to research conducted by consultancy Kline & Co.

Longjing Lubricant announced plans to increase its prices to cope with increased costs from higher crude prices and the recent onset of Chinese tariffs on U.S. exports. The exact increase will be determined later this month. Australias Newcrest Mining Ltd. awarded Total Lubricants PNG a four-year contract for its Lihir Gold Mine in Papua New Guinea. Total will supply lubricants to the mine.
