We have not completely shut down our old factories in case the new plant needs fine-tuning with its live load, which is scheduled to start at the end of this month, Adhiatmadja said.

The new plant, located on Baten provinces Krakatau Industrial Estate Cilegon industrial site in western Java, has capacity to produce 88,500 metric tons per year of motorcycle and passenger car oils for the domestic market. Federals other two blending plants are in the Pulogadung Industrial Estate in East Jakarta, Java, and total around the same capacity as the new plant.

The company produces synthetic, Rexton-branded 10W-40, 5W-30 and 0W-20 passenger car oils and Federal Racing 10W-40 for motorcycles among other automotive lubricants. It also blends AHM-branded lubricants for Honda motorcycles.
