Tianhe Chemicals Group Ltd. said it is complying with – but not the subject of – a Hong Kong government anti-bribery agencys investigation into possible dealings several years ago between a director of the company and an advisory firm.
The Chinese maker of lubricant additives and fluorochemicals informed the Hong Kong Stock Exchange that the Independent Commission Against Corruption executed a warrant that required the company to provide information relating to a director of the company and the process of engaging an advisory firm by the company between the years of 2010 and 2013.
In a March 10 statement, Chairman and Executive Director Wei Qi said that the board does not believe that the company is the subject of the investigation and noted that ICAC did not seize property or make any arrests during its visit to the companys premises in Hong Kong earlier this month.
Neither the director nor the advisory firm were identified in the filing. Tianhe and the commission declined further comment.
