Jin Xue Chi, an Urumqi-based lubricant producer, recently opened a 200 million (U.S. $28.7 million) blending facility in Maanshan city, Anhui province, with capacity of 150,000 metric tons per year.

With the newly opened blending plant, Jin Xue Chi aims to supply high quality lubes for vehicles and industrial equipment. We have over 200 products, rich enough to cover most industries, including the agriculture industry, Marketing Manager Zhang Yu told Lube Report Asia.

Among its industrial lubricants portfolio, Jin Xue Chi makes metalworking fluids such as quenching oils as well as lithium complex greases and engine oils for diesel-powered excavators. The latter products meet the American Petroleum Institutes API CH-4 service category.

The new facility includes a research lab led by its technology consultant, Liu Weimin, who formerly worked in lubricant and grease development at the Chinese Academy of Sciences.

The Maanshan facility is the companys fourth blending plant. It positions the company to supply the wealthy Eastern China market, as its other facilities are in northwestern China.
