Daqing, Heilongjiang-based Lihon Lubricant received approval from the municipal government of Tianjin to build a 100,000 tons per year blending facility. The 90 million plant is scheduled to open in June 2017 and will target the domestic market.

Lihon declined to give more details about the project.

Founded in 2005, Lihon has a facility in Daqing, which also has an annual capacity of 100,000 tons. The company produces a variety of motor oils, including a selection of fully synthetic oils, and industrial lubes and greases such as thermal conduction oils, cylinder oils and thread sealing oils that won over clients such as Shandong province-based Juli Concrete.
