Tianhe Chemicals recently opened a 6,000 square meter additives research and development facility in Jinzhou, China.

Jinzhou DPF-TH Chemicals Co. Ltd., one of the four companies that represent Tianhe, opened the lab in Jinzhou, Liaoning province, where it is based, in January. Construction began in 2013.

The five-story building is made up of laboratories, analysis equipment and training rooms. Tianhe said three departments – research and development, quality control and production – will use the facility in collaboration.

The company also recently announced plans to open a 220,000 square foot R & D center in Bengaluru, India, this year and a blending facility in Dubai, United Arab Emirates, by the end of 2015. It also says it will begin some type of manufacturing operation – possibly for toll blending – in Houston by mid-2016.
