March 20, 2020Passenger car sales for the January-February period in the six major regions of China declined steeply, compared to the same period of 2019, according to the China Automobile Industry Association. East China’s sales declined 21.4 percent to 98,000 vehicles, Central and South China’s sales dropped 24.6 percent to 59,000, North China’s sales fell 55.6 percent to 29,900, Southwest China’s sales declined 40.3 percent to 20,700, the Northwest region’s sales fell 62.3 percent to 15,000 and the Northeast region’s sales dropped 72.8 percent to 80,000.
