Preferred Bidder Ditches Curacao Talks

Curacaos Isla Refinery is taking a step back in its search for a new manager after its preferred bidder withdrew from negotiations, refinery officials said in a statement last Tuesday.

RelaDyne Extends Reach Again

Lubricant distributor RelaDyne closed on the acquisitions of Mansura, Louisiana-based Rachel Oil Co. and Columbus, Mississippi-based Dutch Lubricants, further extending the Cincinnati, Ohio-based companys reach into the Gulf Coast and Southeast regions of the United States. Financial terms of the agreements were not disclosed.

Mixed Results for Afton, Valvoline

Afton Chemical posted higher operating profit for its fourth quarter and a decline in its full-year operating profit, and Valvoline reported a decrease in operating income but an increase in sales for its fiscal quarter ending Dec. 31.
