Mexico to Revamp Motor Oil Standards

The Mexican government is preparing to publish new national engine oil standards that are modeled on those in the United States and which would replace its own antiquated standards.

PdVSA Secures Short-term Isla Refinery Extension

Petroleos de Venezuela S.A. agreed to a short-term lease extension with Refineria di Korsou - the Curacao government entity that owns the Isla Refinery - to operate the facility into 2020 as the latter negotiates with a preferred bidder to take over operations, according to a recent news report.

IHS: Wind Energy Maintenance Spending to Grow

United States wind operations and annual maintenance spending is expected to increase by 50 percent from 2018 to more than $7.5 billion by 2030, according to a recent report by IHS Markit. The forecasted increase stems from a race to leverage a soon-to-expire U.S. federal tax credit for wind energy.
