Aging U.S. Vehicles Trend Continues

The average age of light vehicles in the United States rose more than 10 percent, from 10.6 years in 2010 to 11.7 years in 2018, and is projected to edge up to 11.8 years in 2019, according to data in the latest report jointly published by Automotive Care Association and the Automotive Aftermarket Suppliers Association.

Brenntag announced the acquisition of Tulsa, Oklahoma-based B&M Oil Co., a lubricants distributor which serves its home state. B&M Oil is a bolt on acquisition for J.A.M. Distributing, Brenntag said. Denver, Colorado-based private equity firm Lariat Partners sold its ownership interest in Offen Petroleum, which distributes lubricants throughout Colorado and its 13 surrounding states.
