Shell Still Biggest Lube Supplier

Shell remained the worlds largest supplier of finished lubricants last year for the 12th consecutive year, ahead of ExxonMobil, BP, Total and Chevron, according to a global study by Kline & Co.

Summit Installs Grease Reactor

Summit Lubricants installed a new 50,000 pound grease reactor at its plant in Batavia, New York, last week to increase manufacturing capacity and speed and to gain more control over quality.

Sales Up for Afton, Milacron

Afton Chemical Co. and Milacron Holding Corp. each reported healthy increases in sales, but Afton posted a lower operating profit, for the third quarter ending Sept. 30.

Consulting firm Kline & Co. hired Debbie Powell as a manager of energy practice. Powell has over 20 years of experience in the lubricants industry and previously worked at Royal Dutch Shell and Chevron. Superior, Wisconsin-based Amsoil will test gearbox lubrication for wind turbine gear box supplier ZF Wind Power.
