RelaDyne Enters the Sunshine State

RelaDyne closed on the acquisitions of Jack Backer Distributors Inc., Seaboard Neumann and Flamingo Oil - three of Floridas top lubricant distributors - marking its entrance into the Sunshine State, the company announced Monday. Financial terms of the agreements were not disclosed.

Italmatch Gains Aftons MWF Business

Italmatch Chemicals Group is set to acquire Afton Chemicals metalworking fluid business, strengthening the Italian companys position in the industrial lubricants market, the companies announced Friday. The deal is expected to close by May 30.

Q1 Earnings Wrap-up

Profits were up for Quaker Chemical and Milacrons Fluid Technologies segment, while Afton Chemical reported lower operating profit, all for the quarter ending March 31, compared to a year earlier.

Global chemical and ingredient distributor Univar Canada and Boss Lubricants, a lubricant manufacturer and supplier, entered into an energy and mining agreement for Western Canada, allowing Boss Lubricants to market its products in the region. Spanish oil company Repsol has entered the Mexican market, and is distributing its lubricants in addition to opening several service stations in the country.
