U.S. Group II Exports Forecast to Shift

API Group II exports from the United States will shift from Europe to South America and Africa over the next five years as the market adjusts to new production capacity within Europe, according to an industry consultant.

Ingevity CEO Resigns, Interim CEO Named

Ingevity Corp. announced Feb. 20 that its board of directors and D. Michael Wilson agreed he would resign as president, CEO and a director, effective immediately, as a result of matters relating to his personal conduct. The company named Ingevity chairman Richard Kelson as interim president and CEO and established a CEO search committee.

The Brazilian National Agency of Petroleum, Natural Gas and Biofuels held the closing meeting of the fourth and fifth editions of the Interlaboratory Lubricants Program on Feb. 5 at the Center for Research and Technological Analysis in Brasilia. The fourth edition – March to July 2019 – had 36 participants and fifth edition – August to November 2019 – had 32, most of which are laboratories of companies that produce lubricants. United Arab Emirates-based GP Global expanded its international trading operations to the Americas with the appointment of Gene Owen as president of trading, based in Houston. The company trades in a variety of products, including base oils.
