Lithium Supplier Livent Conducts IPO

Livent, the former lithium business of chemical company FMC, raised $340 million this month in its initial public stock offering. The companys growth plan is focused on catering to electric vehicles as the portion of lithium hydroxide destined for lubricating greases dwindles.

Heritage-Crystal Cleans oil business segment reported a hefty increase in revenue, and WD-40 posted higher net income, net sales and diluted earnings per share for their most recent quarters.

Barbara Kudis of Allegheny Petroleum Products Co. was elected president of the Independent Lubricant Manufacturers Association for 2018-19. She succeeds Dave Croghan of Maxum Petroleum and will serve a one-year term. Jason Galary was named director of research and development at Fairhaven, Massachusetts-based Nye Lubricants. Chevron Products Co. announced this week that Daimler Trucks North America will begin factory filling with Chevron Delo 400 ZFA SAE 10W-30 heavy-duty diesel engine oil, which meets the API FA-4 specification, Jan. 1.
